The Great Space Race
A short time ago, in a galaxy not too far away,
powerful alien races gave the six most inept species a choice –
win the Great Space Race or be destroyed. As one of these alien
racers, you must use speed, tactics and luck to ensure the survival
of your people! Of course, winning the Race is not as simple as it
sounds. The greater your speed, the faster you travel, but the more
difficult it becomes to avoid hazards – such as the black holes,
space amoebas and other dangers of space, not to mention that each
ship is armed with missiles and other deadly weapons. But don’t
worry... at the speed of light, no one can hear you scream.
The Great Space Race is a board game for 3-6
players (although it can be played with only 2 players, it's much
more fun the more participants you have). The game consists of the
track (over 6 square feet!), ships, full color counters, rulebook
and three separate decks of cards (special events, maneuvers and
equipment). Though large in size (many, many components), the game
is quick to learn and play moves at a fast pace. A full 3-lap game
can last 2-3 hours, but the number of laps can be varied to adjust
the game length (with 1 lap typically taking an hour to complete).

Fleets
Players start out with a few ships in one of 9
"quadrants". On each turn, you gain ships based on the
number of starbases you've conquered plus a bonus ship for each
quadrant you completely control. Only one ship is allowed per space
and each ship can move up to 3 spaces in any direction. You can then
attack single enemy ships with 1 to 3 ships of your own at a time.
The defender rolls one die and the attacker rolls as many dice as
ships used in the attack. Whoever rolls the single highest die
removes one enemy ship involved in the fight. Ties result in no
losses. The game continues until one player controls a set number of
quadrants, i.e. 3 quadrants in a 4-player game.

Junk
JUNK is a mecha style table top wargame. But this
is no ordinary mecha game! In this game, your mechs, which we call
'Cans, are pieces of scrap metal and miscellaneous garbage welded
and duct taped together. These unreliable 'Cans are powered by the
finest fuel to be found on the planet, Joisey...BEER! Not only are
these 'Cans unreliable and flammable, and expected to blow up at any
given moment, they are piloted by the best rednecks on the planet!
If 'Cans aren't your style, you can always get yourself a pickup
truck or a hot rod, strap on a weapon, and have a blast.
Of course JUNK doesn't have the typical, high tech
weapons that most mecha games use. The world of Joisey is a junk
yard world. Weapons on Joisey tend to be less than reliable, but
they will more than likely make a pretty explosion of your enemy
before they destroy you. Junk has a large selection of weapons to
choose from. You will find some pretty fierce weapons like the Porta
Potty Cannon (PPC) and the Tachyon Beam Cannon. You can also strap
on some nifties. Your 'Can would not be complete without a repair
droid. Of course you've got to be careful. Sometimes these little
devils do more harm than good! Or get yourself a little more speed
and lace on some roller blades. Of course a good fight must have
good music. Hook up a stereo to your 'Can and buy the right to play
your choice of music. Grab yourself some moon pies for a quick
pick-me-up. Of course no redneck should dare operate heavy machinery
without his lucky velvet portrait of Elvis.
