the original and contains an expansion to the rules as well as a
completely new game, 'My Uncle the Baron', designed for children,

Do you know what your children are?
Esper - term coined by the whitechapel
Project to identify those who possess powers of ESP and
psychometry. Now used to refer to all psychics.
The time is now. Psychics exist, not many, but enough - enough to
worry those in power, and interest those who seek power. Governments
and Corporations fight over them. The Network provides an imperfect
refuge for those that escape the clutches of those who would abuse
them or their powers.
What if every test you had ever done was analysed
for indications of psychic ability? What if communities are
experimented upon, yielding horrific, but useful results. Thousands
maimed and killed each year by the Corporations and Governments.
Some do this for power, some for defence, but they all do it, - for
the next war will be fought with the mind - and the victor will
control the destiny of the human race.
The 23rd Letter 2nd Edition is the main rule book
but soon it will be joined by The Project Sourcebook - an insiders
view to the government agencies around the world that exert their
control on hundreds of lives. From the draughty halls of Whitechapel,
to the bitter cold of Siberia, from sun-baked Iraq to the heart of
Red China. Detail given on the Spook Squad, GSG-13 and much, much
more!

by Abstract Nova
Alien abductions. Crop circles. Spontaneous Human
Combustion. Such things defy modern science and spark human
curiosity. But what if these things are not really unexplainable?
What if humanity is only viewing these phenomena from a limited and
flawed perspective? Perhaps a simple, yet invisible, explanation
underlies all such phenomena.
Aletheia is a role-playing game about the strange and mysterious
corners of reality. Players investigate the anomalous phenomena and
impossible occurrences that defy logic and commonsense. Through
exploration of these mysteries, they will discover the true nature
of reality.

Most Role-Playing Games operate under the
principle that there are players and there is a Game Master. The GM
prepares all the details of an adventure, and then "runs"
the players through that adventure. This usually requires a great
deal of preparation on the part of the GM and the handling of many
details.
Mythic is different in that it requires no
preparation from the GM. Mythic adventures are meant to be played
off the cuff, with perhaps a few minutes of brainstorming to come up
with the initial setup.
Mythic can also be played entirely without a GM.
The same mechanics in Mythic that allow a GM to run an adventure
without preparation also allows a group of players to do without the
GM.

Basic Roleplaying
Welcome to Chaosium’s Basic Roleplaying system,
a book that collects in one place rules and options for one of the
original and most influential role playing game systems in the
world.
This book comprises a roleplaying game system, a
framework of rules aimed at allowing players to enact a sort of
improvisational radio theater—only without microphones—and with
dice determining whether the characters succeed or fail at what
they attempt to do. In roleplaying games, one player takes on the
role of the gamemaster (GM), while the other player(s) assume the
roles of player characters (PCs) in the game. The gamemaster also
acts out the roles of characters who aren’t being guided by
players: these are called non-player characters (NPCs).
From its origin, Basic Roleplaying was designed to
be intuitive and easy to play. Character attributes follow a 3D6
curve, and the other Basic Roleplaying mechanics are even simpler.
Virtually all rolls determining success or failure of a task are
determined via the roll of percentile dice. This means that there’s
less fiddling with dice of different types, and the concept of a
percentile chance of success is extremely easy for beginners and
experienced players to grasp. There aren’t many easier ways to say
a character has a 70% chance of succeeding at an activity.

carry, is a game about focused on the experience
of being a soldier in the Vietnam war. Heavily inspired by the films
Platoon and Full Metal Jacket and the novel The Things They Carried,
carry is designed to provide a roleplaying experience in the
tradition of these sources.
How soldiers behave in war is a difficult topic,
and the game focuses more on dealing with that difficulty than on
celebrating violence or exploring tactical and strategic choices.
The way that players have described a session is “fun, but in the
way watching a really serious drama is fun, not fun like popcorn and
beer fun.”
